On October 31st, we celebrate Reformation Day. This is the day Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the door at the church in Wittenberg, Germany in 1517. It was also the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. He stated 95 things the church was doing wrong, according to the Bible. This included doctrines and practices such as charging indulgences to reduce time in purgatory.
We believe in Justification by faith alone, through Christ alone! Christians can never earn God’s love or forgiveness. Also, We are glad we can pray straight to God, and read the Bible for ourselves without going through priests!
Our church hosts a Reformation Celebration each year.
Aiden tossing wooden coins to the beggar lady at “The Marketplace”. This was our booth. Here it was Chris’ turn to hold down the fort!
Aiden nailing the 95 Theses to the door. No, he did not want to use the plastic Bob the Builder hammer!
Getting ready for musical chairs. I (Wendy) won the final round after being pursuaded to play! There was a cake walk too. Aiden won a cake then one of the girls won another. We let someone else have that one though.
